The Divers Alert Network (DAN) Oxygen Grant Programs are designed to enhance emergency response capabilities across the global diving community. These programs offer grants for oxygen units, support equipment, and training, helping dive operators, researchers, and community leaders improve their readiness to respond to diving-related injuries and accidents.
Focused on first aid for decompression illness (DCI) and other scuba-related emergencies, the program helps:
-
Dive shops and training centers increase on-site oxygen availability
-
Scientific diving operations enhance field safety protocols
-
Remote or underserved communities gain access to lifesaving resources
-
Promote long-term collaboration in diving medicine and safety research
DAN evaluates grant applications based on need, impact, and commitment to safety practices. In many cases, the program also includes training and education components, ensuring recipients are prepared to use the equipment effectively in real-world scenarios.
If your organization is committed to diver safety and emergency preparedness, applying to the DAN Oxygen Grant Program can provide the tools and support necessary to make a measurable difference.
